Amanda is an active member of Houston Eating Disorders Specialists (HEDS) and served on the Executive Committee as the Education Committee chairperson and the 2017 Conference Chair. She actively collaborates care with treatment providers and is often requested to provide supervision on difficult cases. As a Christian, Amanda enjoys integrating faith into the recovery process when requested by her clients. Amanda resides in Pearland, TX with her husband John and their 2 canine "children,” Sophie Lynn and Talullah Mae.  The family is anticipating the arrival of their first human child in October 2017, for which Amanda will take an extended maternity leave from private practice.

Amanda Holben MS, RD, LD

 

​Amanda (Buller) Holben, MS, RD, LD is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who owns Fork In The Road Nutrition Counseling, LLC. Amanda graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition & Food Science. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition, where she also completed her Dietetic Internship. 

Amanda has been treating clients with eating disorders and disordered eating since 2002. Her career began at Remuda Ranch Programs for Eating Disorders (2002 – 2008) where she served as both a floor dietitian as well as the Nutrition Services Clinical Manager. Amanda then joined the Eating Disorder Assessment and Support Team at The University of Texas at Austin (2008-2011). For the next five years (2011-2016), Amanda functioned as the lead dietitian at The Healthy Weigh in Houston, TX. In June 2016, Amanda’s outpatient eating disorder private practice transitioned to Fork In The Road Nutrition Counseling, LLC.
